Over Sixty Years of Service


The Tri-Cities Airport has a long history of stellar service, as well as consistent expansion and innovation to provide the best possible travel experience to and from Central and Southeastern Washington. Check out some of the highlights from years past below!

1963

The Port takes ownership of the former World War II U.S. Navy facility, known as the Pasco Airport.

1966

Pasco Airport is renamed Tri-Cities Airport – PSC, a new terminal is built, and the runway is extended.

1986

The airport terminal is expanded from its original 25,000 square feet to 62,000.

2002

A Fixed-Base Operation Facility is built at the Tri-Cities Airport Industrial Park and leased to Bergstrom Aircraft.

2003

PSC undergoes a remodel, adding 3,000 square feet to its ticket lobby and boarding area.

2005

The Tri-Cities Airport Business Center is created, generating relationships with local businesses and contributing to the economic growth of our region.

2014

PSC begins a $42M expansion and modernization project that is completed in 2017.

2022

The Port of Pasco is selected by the Washington Department of Commerce to participate in an Industrial Site Readiness pilot program for grant funding, leading to the genesis of the Tri-Cities Airport Aerospace Innovation & Manufacturing (AIM) Center.

2023

A master plan for the AIM Center is established. The AIM Center will provide space for economic expansion and job creation in the fields of aerospace, manufacturing, research and development, education, restaurants, and retail.
