American Airlines Officially Lands at Tri-Cities Airport with New Service to Phoenix

Pasco, WA – Today marks a historic day for the Tri-Cities Airport (PSC), as American Airlines has landed in Tri-Cities. The legacy carrier now provides daily service between PSC and Phoenix Sky Harbor (PHX), a major hub for the airline.

The route began today, February 15, arriving into PSC at 1:18 p.m. and departing on time at 2:16 p.m. It is scheduled to arrive into PHX at 6:03 p.m. The daily flight will utilize a dual-class Embraer 175 with room for 76 passengers.

“We are thrilled to add to our airline family by welcoming American Airlines to the Tri-Cities,” said Buck Taft, Director of Tri-Cities Airport. “This new flight opens a world of opportunities for our passengers by both expanding our destination offerings and connecting travelers to a major hub that can take them to different parts of the globe. With that said, we are also excited to show the airline why choosing to start service in the Tri-Cities was a great idea as more people are utilizing our airport than ever before.”

The announcement is part of PSC’s historic growth trend. Approximately 873,000 passengers flew through the airport in 2023, making it the busiest year on record. American Airlines represents the sixth airline to serve the Tri-Cities, and the second airline to add service post-pandemic. As a result, PSC passengers now have direct access to ten major cities across the United States, with easy connections to Latin America, Asia, and beyond.

Tickets for the new route are on sale at aa.com.
